I don’t believe this story until last week end, when I went home
from Pampanga, my mom told me this news. One of our neighbor witnessed
the funeral. There is a grade 6 student near our barangay, who was
missing for 2 days. There are posters of his picture everywhere… after
how many days, the body was found with missing eyes and kidney… a
Php20,000 was inserted on his body with a note ‘PAKI LIBING NA LANG…’
(Please bury.)

Love Survey

[01] Are you currently in a relationship?
- YES

[02] Have you ever been given a rose?
- No. When he was still courting me. I’ve told him not to give me
flowers. For some reason, I know roses are romantic and all but the
concept didn’t work for me at that time. *weird me*

[03] What is your all-time favorite lovestory movie?
- Windstruck and Sassy Girl. Both tear-jerkers in a sense.

[04] Are you in love right now?
- Yes. Happily so. ^^

[05] Do you believe that everyone has a soulmate?
- I want to believe that but… well, it’s hard to believe in something so ‘fairy tale’ like.

[06] What’s your current problem?
- Relationship wise, none. Money-wise… A LOT!

[07] Have you ever had your heart broken?
- I had but it doesn’t involve relationships. It’s more of feeling betrayed or sad for a lot of things.

[08] Your thoughts of online or long distance relationships?
- That would be hard. You can’t be together physically as often as you want. (

[09] Have you ever seen a friend as more than a friend?
- Nope.

[10] The person you’re with right now, do you want to spend your life with?
- Many will be surprised but yes, I’m actually seeing that vision. ^^

[11] How many kids do you want to have?
- I had the notion of having twins. Even when I was still single, I
thought to myself that if I ever ended up as a hermit, I could go and
adopt twins to be my kids. A boy and a girl to be exact. XD

[12] What is/are & your favorite color?
- Blue. It soothes the soul.

[13] Who are your celebrity crushes?
- Hugh Jackman, Johnny Depp, Jun Matsumoto, Vannes Wu

[14] Do you believe you truly love only once?
- That is hard to answer. XD

[15] Imagine you’re 40 & your spouse just died, would you get re-married?
- It’s hard to imagine *sniff sniff*

[16] Do you believe in love at first sight?
- No. Physical attraction, yes. Love, No.

[17] What song u want to be played at your wedding?
- I haven’t really gone that far in planning. LOL

[18] Do you like anyone?
- My boyfriend of course. Though it’s not ‘like’. It’s ‘LOVE’. XD

2008 Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I was lucky to watch the Opening ceremonies on time. I have to admit,
despite the lack of interest of people around me regarding the
Olympics, it didn’t cease for me to hook up to youtube and be
mesmerized by the Olympic music videos created by the stars of China. I
was hooked when I first saw the FUWA mascots and I know I will be
charmed by their opening ceremonies.

I’m excited! *drumroll please*

Olympics 2008 is here!

This major sporting event is also called Games of the XXIX Olympiad and will start today in Beijing, China. It will happen till August 24 followed by the 2008 Summer Paralympics from September 6 to September 17.

The slocal for this event is "One World, One Dream". The slogan calls upon the whole world to join in the Olympic spirit and build a better future for humanity.

The 2008 Olympic Mascots are the five Fuwa, consisting of five (5) adorbable mascots that incorporate fish, giant panda, fire, Tibetan antelope, and swallow designs. The Fuwa each have as their primary colour, one of the colours of the five Olympic Rings that stand for the five continents. The five Fuwa are named Beibei, Jingjing, Huanhuan, Yingying, and Nini. When the first syllable of each of the five names are said together, the result is the phrase  which means "Beijing welcomes you". Absolutely love the gimmick!

Opening ceremonies will start at 8PM CST (UTC+8).

The Philippines will approximately have 15 athletes competing in the said event. The delegation’s flag bearer at the Opening Ceremony will be boxer Manny Pacquiao, who will not be competing.

Get the feel of the Olympics with this beautiful video. Let us root our athletes and pray for better fellowship among countries all over the world.

What is True Economy?

It is an understatement to say that there are a lot of people in the
world. There are already too much! I have heard somewhere though that
in reality, there are enough resources for everyone. The problem lies
in the unequal distribution of these resources that is why some have
too many and others don’t have anything at all.

Another Pinoy Perspective for the Filipino’s way of Living

Thank you very much everyone for your comments on a recent post
regarding the SONA (year 2008). Such reactions depict the feeling of
most Filipinos regarding SONA promises put into stone. Most of us
(Filipinos), currently does not believe anything the government says
and it’s a sad reality to show the world how much we demean our own
government. Much as I would like to blame everything to the government,
I can’t help but think there are other factors involved for such issues
to happen.

One of them, in the perspective of a global scale, is Economics.
Global economy is not held by one system. Oil price hikes, world
trades, decreasing dollar value, etc. These things work in their own
way and each country in the world is affected by it. If you think about
it, an individual’s first and foremost motto is to survive. Each
individual doesn’t want to be striked down by these changes and as
human beings, we tend to do what it takes even against the code of our
morals to get the necessities and wants that constitutes our lifestyle.
Yes, we all hate gamblers, thieves, prostitutes, drug lords, beggars,
etc. But can we blame all of them for the lack of education that was
deprived of them due to poverty? Can we blame them if they needed bread
on their table and money isn’t with them to bring them that? Can we
blame them if they love their children or family too much to risk their
lives just to feed them? Can we blame them if we, the better-off, often
ignore their existence when they ask for a bit of help?
